Illume + Naughty is a joint effort between Rex Buchannan and Wessyde that debuted just this month at a socially distant party on the roof of Bar Standard. The duo follows with a performance opening up for Kendoll during this week’s Internet Rave Live Stream.

In addition to an increased streaming schedule, the duo drops their first record as Illume + Naughty on July 28th. Titled “What About It,” the single has crisp percussive rhythms and big time synths to open, but quickly smooths things out. As the vocals are brought in, the lead melody shifts gears and the resulting bridge is nothing but sultry tech house goodness leading in to a dance floor-oriented drop that crowds all over will love. Featuring both artists’ talents on full display throughout, “What About It” is the quintessential first production for a project we couldn’t be more excited to be working with.
